大学走出封闭的"象牙塔",融入当下的经济社会生活,以科研作为大学与社会的纽带,推进社会的知识创新与科技进步。大学科研服务社会的基本模式包括主动供应模式、被动需求模式、政产学研互动模式。推进大学科研更好地服务社会,要强化大学科研服务社会的制度理念,建立与大学教学组织相匹配的科研单列体制,建立科研与教学互融互通的考评机制,构建大学科研服务社会的有效平台。

University should be released from the enclosed ＂ivory tower＂ and integrate itself into the life of social economy, so as to take scientific research as the bond between university and society, and promote the innovation of knowledge and the development of science and technology. The basic modes for university scientific research to serve society include the mode of initiative supply, passive demand and interactive mode of government, production and study. To smoothly carry forward university scientific research for social service, we should strengthen the institutional concept of university scientific research to serve society, establish the separated scientific system matching the organization of university teaching, establish the evaluation mechanism integrating scientific research into teaching, and construct the effective platform for the university scientific research to serve society.
