肉桂性浑厚凝降入下焦补命门火,为升发火热之品,故多用于命火息微,脾肾阳衰,阴寒内聚之阴霾四布日沉海底之疾。在临床中应用广泛,在很多病症的治疗中,其与他药相配伍使用每多收到良好效果,其中有些小剂量配伍(多在3～5 g)更是有四两拔千斤之妙。

Cinnamon is a herb with simple, vigorous and stagnation nature and can reinforce fire of the gate of life in lower energizer. So it is a herb sending up the fire and heat. Its common indications are weak breathing of the fire in the gate of life, deficiency of spleen and kidney, internal accumulation of Yin cold, wide distribution of Yin thunderstorm and dipping down of the sun into the sea bottom. It is widely used in clinic and has achieved some good effects when matched with other herbs in treating many diseases. Among them some matching with low dose （3-5 g） of Cinnamon even have magical therapeutic efficacy.
