珠海市西部地区刚被纳入珠海市经济特区的范围,其经济社会发展和城市化进程距原珠海经济特区还有一定的差距。本文主要探讨了珠海市西部地区城市化进程中现存的主要问题,其中包括农村劳动力转移问题、经济发展和产业结构问题、户籍制度和弱势人群就业问题、城中村和城市管理秩序问题、空间布局和城市基础设施建设问题等。

The west region of Zhuhai has just been included in the scope of the special economic zones.There is a certain gap between the west region and the urban area of Zhuhai in the economic and social development and urbanization.This paper discusses the problems in the process of the urbanization in the western region of Zhuhai,including the transfer of rural labor,the economic development and industrial structure,the household registration system and employment of disadvantaged groups,villages and urban management order issues,spatial layout and urban infrastructure.
