Reading the Epitaphs of Wei Family:Four Supplements to the“Lineage of Prime Ministers”in Xin Tang Shu

京兆韦氏是唐代关中郡姓之一,在唐代历史舞台上扮演了重要角色,其世系是《新唐书·宰相世系表》的重要组成部分。本文以墓志为主,结合相关史料,试对《新唐书·宰相世系表》韦氏部分作进一步校补。

The Wei family in Jingzhao was one of top families in the Guanzhong region during the Tang Dynasty and played a significant role. Its lineage was also an important part of the ＂Lineage of Prime Ministers＂ in Xin Tang Shu （新唐书·宰相世系表）. This paper makes corrections to and supplements the lineage of the Wei family in Xin Tang Shu by drawing on epitaphs of the Wei family and related historical documents.
