汽车与近代中国的城市化

The Automobile and the modern Chinese urbanization

汽车自清季进入中国之后,在1920年代后的中国城市化进程中扮演了重要角色。首先,改善了城市的交通,加强了人口的流动,促进了城市商业的发展。其次,随着道路的兴修,汽车的行驶,市区范围得以向周边扩展,城市性能得以提升,城市化程度得以加强。再次,1930年代后,随着铁路不及的西北、西南地区汽车路线的开通,沿海城市的现代文明得以更快进入,社会风气遂逐渐开通。

Automobile has played an important role in the process of China＇s urbanization with it＇s introduction in the Qing Dynasty in the 1920s. First of all, it improved the city＇straffic, increased population mobility and promoted the city＇s commercial development. Second, with the construction of the road, driving of the automobile and expansion of urban areas, the city ~ performance and urbanization were enhanced and strengthened . Again, after 1930, withthe opening of the vehicle routes in southwest and northwest , where railway was not open, by this the coastal cities have accessed to modern civilization, changed people＇s life styles in all respects.
