On the Non-material Properties of Intangible Cultural Heritage

非物质文化遗产是思维方式与行为活动的整合体,其本质是非物质性的活态文化,并依附于人的存在而存在。通过高度人合性的过程,使得文化内蕴与文化表现形式有机融合并向外表达,共同组成非物质文化遗产的非物质属性,并反映特定群体的文化生活特征与思维模式。非物质文化遗产所衍生的物质产物和作品只是文化表现形式的载体,应区别于文化遗产本身。

Intangible cultural heritage is the combination of thinking modes and behaviors. Basically, it represents the non-material and living culture and it subjects itself to human presence. Its high human inte- gration helps its cultural connotations and cultural expressions to combine organically, to express them- selves, to constitute the non-material properties of intangible cultural heritage, and to reflect the characteristics of cultural life and thinking modes of a specific group. Those materials and works of art, derived from intangible cultural heritage are simply a carrier of cultural expressions, so they should be differentiated from intangible cultural heritage.
