On the Historical Value of Poetry Sympathy for Peasants in Mid-Tang Dynasty

中唐悯农诗歌是兼具士大夫身份的文人写下的怜悯民生的诗歌,其内容非常丰富。除了具有文学、思想价值外,还具有重要的历史学价值:一方面悯农诗中的一些内容可与现存的史料相印证,以证史之不虚;另一方面悯农诗中的一些内容也可以弥补史料之不足,为研究中唐这一段纷繁复杂的历史提供一些可资借鉴的依据。

The poetry sympathy for peasants in Mid-Tang Dynasty, having rich contents, written by scholar-bureaucrats, are about pity peasants. They have very important historical value besides the literature and ideology values. On the one hand, some contents can corroborate with the extant historical records; On the other hand, they can make up for the deficiency, which provides basis for researching the history of middle Tang Dynasty.
