Interpretation of Chinese Lexical Translation from the Perspective of Lexical Blocking——based on the analysis of corpus of Chinese to English translation in TEM8 by Shao Zhi-hong

词汇阻遏现象是一种常见的语用现象,阻遏现象的存在有利于维持词汇系统内部的稳定性,同时对词缀的能产性、词汇组合搭配结构、词义扩展等方面产生动态选择制约。在词汇语用学框架内,结合语义学的研究成果,并以英语专业八级汉英翻译试卷分析语料为基础,将探讨阻遏现象对汉英词汇翻译的影响,为词汇翻译提供新的阐释视角。

Lexical blocking is a common pragmatic phenomenon which is beneficial to the stability within the vocabulary system and can form a dynamic choice constraint to the productivity of affixes,the structure of lexical combination and collocation,the expansion of lexical meaning,etc.With the framework of lexical pragmatics and the findings of semantics study,based on the analysis of corpus of translation from Chinese to English in TEM 8,this paper probes into the influence on the translation from Chinese to English made by this lexical blocking phenomenon and provides a new perspective for lexical translation.
