摘要
在粒子物理、核物理实验中,探测器一定时间内输出的脉冲数量直接反映辐射的强度,从而表征待测粒子或辐射源的特性。设计了一种基于FPGA的网络型定标系统,对核辐射探测器输出的脉冲信号进行计数,该系统可实现对8路信号同时进行计数,最大计数率为2 MHz,阈值甄别精度5 mV,并采用FPGA和网络芯片将采集到的各通道数据传送至以太网,实现对待测粒子或辐射源特性的远程观测。同时还可以通过以太网远程控制整个定标系统,使系统操作起来更方便、安全、可靠。
In particle and nuclear physics experiment,the number of pulses produced by the detector within a certain period of time directly reflect the intensity of the radiation,so it can characterize the properties of particles or radiation sources.We designed a network scaler system based on FPGA,which can count the nuclear pulse signal produced by the detector.The system count the pulse signal of 8 channels at the same time,its maximum count rate is 2 MHz,the accuracy of its discriminate thresholds is 5 mV,we also use the combination of FPGA and network chip to send the data to the Ethernet,which allowing us to observe and analyze the characteristics of particles or radiation remotely.We can also control the entire scaler system remotely through the Ethernet,and this will make the operation be convenient,safe and reliable.
