It readers to have a is opined in this paper that there is in Ah Lai＇ s novels a modernist style, thus lingering enabling sense of irony, which can be considered an aesthetic mood and the main melody of existence in Ah Lai＇ s novels. In this paper, a probe is made into the complex and ample relationship between Ah Lai＇ s novels and the Western spirit of irony in terms of the narrative mechanism of irony behind the prototype of the ＂idiot＂, the loner thinking while walking, and God＇ s disintegration and evocation so as to highlight the unique artistic quality and aesthetics of Ah Lai＇ s novels in the contemporary literay circles.
