The "ant tribe" phenomenon is in essence the problem whether university graduates choose to get a job in big cities or in medium-sized and small towns. From the perspective of rational man hypothesis, the existence of "ant tribe" is attributed to their wish to obtain the economic benefit, such as more employment opportunities, higher quality of employment, and the non-economic benefit, like educational benefit, consumption benefit, psychological benefit and health benefit. That's why they choose to work in big cities. The approach to reduce "ant tribe" phenomenon is to raise university graduates' income, improve the equality and balanced development of education, strengthen the development of medium-sized and small towns, and guide the university graduates to get a job in medium-sized and small towns.
