The 12th Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC 223 （The Technical Committee of Societal Security） was held in Beijing from 7 to 11 November, 2011. ISO/TC 223 is a newly-established and influential technical committee whose international standards of public safety provide significant technical support to the global societal security and economic development and are urgently needed.
