威斯纳（Jerome Wiesner，1915—1994年）教授是密歇根大学毕业的电子工程哲学博士，历任麻省理工学院（MIT）电子学研究实验室主任、电子工程系主任、理学院院长、教务长、第13任校长（1971--1980年）。
Jerome Wiesner,President Kennedy's special assistant for science and technology,assisted the Kennedy Administration to deal with various problems such as nuclear arms control,the controversy over the use of pesticides,graduate training,space exploration,Pakistan salt land and so on.His experience showed how a presidential science adviser used science and technology to serve peace and benefit mankind.
