Use of Outdoor Flowers in the Gardens of Hangzhou

露地草花是园林植物的重要组成部分。杭州西湖风景区在露地草花的应用方面,采用地被、花径等形式种植;选用顶生显露、抗性强、种子易得的品种,并合理利用球宿根花卉;根据花色和花期等主要特点,单植或混种,使之与环境相协调,取得了一定的效果。本文还总结了西湖风景区19科、33种露地草花的花期和主要习性。

Outdoor flowers are indispensable to a garden. The use of outdoor flowers has been good results in the scenic area of the West Lake of Hangzhou. The measures are: flowers and plants are planted in ground cover or in border or the others, and in pure or in mixed accounding to their colors and flowering seasons so that they can harmonize with surrounding scenes; species or varieties which have an exposed growing top, a higher resistance and the seeds are likely to collection are employed; and cormatose and rhizocarpous plants are made rational use of. Floweiing seasons and the other main habits of 33 species (or varieties) herbaceous plants which are a common sight in the scenic area of the West Lake of Hangzhou are listed here.
