摘要 Chinese ancestors used human figures,beasts, birds, flowers, characters and natural phenomena in a symbolic and allusive manner in order to express their best wishes for happy life. These symbolic patterns,images and symbols express Chinese people’s value on life, aesthetic pursuit, religious belief and national disposition. As a way of mental care,auspicious symbols and patterns are available in every aspect of Chinese society and play an indispensable role in Chinese people’s life.
