The cluster-type simplification method of STL model based on vertex culling

摘要 STL模型的简化技术对改进STL模型的精度质量有很重要的作用。对STL模型简化方法进行了研究,提出了一种改进的简化方法———STL模型分簇简化方法,并对SolidWorks软件进行二次开发,在此软件中实现算法功能,结合实例进行了验证。STL模型分簇简化方法提高了简化速率,在简化质量和简化速率方面取得了较好的平衡。 The simplification technology of STL model plays an important role on the quality of the STL model. Having researched on the simplification method of the STL model, proposes an improved simplification method which is named as the cluster-type simplification method of STL model. Though the secondary development on SolidWorks, the algorithm is realized in this software and verified by the instances. The new algorithm has improved the simplification and obtained preferable balance between the quality and velocity of simplification.
