摘要 如何促进高校英语教师专业发展进而提高我国高校英语教学水平是广大英语教育工作者普遍关心和思考的问题。教师自我学习作为教师专业发展的有效实践,其优势日益得到认可。教师自我学习鼓励教师立足教学实践,学习和研究自我,建立情景专属教学知识,并不断建构和发展对教学的理解,达到提高教学实践能力的目的。教师自我学习要求教师既是教学实践者又是教学研究者,既以自我教学和研究为中心,又重视与他人的合作和交流,既积极建构自我教学知识,又乐于与他人分享,共同进步。教学探寻,行动研究和教学反思是常见的自我学习实施策略。 Whereas it is urgent to improve the teacher development for the sake of English teaching in the higher institutions,it is found out that self study proves an effective approach.Teachers are urged hereby to base on the teaching,learning and self studies in order to construct a beneficiary cycle of situational scenarios where they act as both teachers and researchers.Likewise,teaching explorations,action reseaching and teaching reflections are the normal strategies.
