凝视与被凝视——凝视理论视角下《野草在歌唱》的视觉关系解读 被引量:9

摘要 从福柯关于凝视理论的权力机制论述和话语分析来说,《野草在歌唱》描述了涵盖白人与黑人、富人与穷人以及男人与女人的复杂的视觉关系。小说中存在的凝视与被凝视的权力斗争及角色更迭表明凝视者与被凝视者身份定位的变动性,即人人皆处于他人的凝视中。而被凝视者借助于反凝视彻底颠覆原有的视觉特权和解构固有的视觉权力结构。 Three pairs of complicated visual relations are depicted in The Grass Is Singing from the perspective of Foucault's gaze theory and the analysis of discourse, which consist of the visual relation between the white and the black, the rich and the poor, man and woman. The battle of visual power and the change of role indicate that the identity of the gazer and the gazed is constantly changeable and everyone is under others' gaze. By virtue of the anti - gaze, the gazed can totally subvert the former visual privilege and deconstruct the defined structure of visual power.
