Min Gui, a native of Huzhou, was a famous official in the Ming Dynasty. In his life he was appointed as an official in several provinces and he was made an official in charge of penalty four times, suppressing rebels and helping the people with eminent achievements. He was upright and outspoken, and strict and just in governing the jail, so he was greatly respected and admired.
