Compared the advantages and disadvantages of VMware vSphere with that of VMware Server, the author exposes the server virtualization technology in this article. Taking the virtual server solution of Northwestern Polytechnieal University Library for instance, the author explains the advantages of adapting the VMware virtual server in reducing library expenditure, decreasing server number and enhancing management efficient.
