According to Reception Aesthetics, the active participation and creation of translators and target language readers are emphasized. Translators are supposed to produce appropriate text which is in accordance with the readers＇ horizon of expectation. Hence this article analyzes the application of Reception Aesthetics to children＇ s literature the wind in the willow in terms of the words selection and logic. In a word, reception theory is applicable in explaining children＇ s literature translation.
