唐诗中“仙人掌”意象之文化内涵阐释

The Study of Cultural Connotations Concerning Immortal Palm Image in the Tang Dynasty Poetry

唐代诗歌中的"仙人掌"意象,内涵丰富、韵致独特。首先,"仙人掌"在唐人笔下,意指汉武帝神明台上的承露"仙掌"。唐代诗人借"仙掌"捧盘之事典,既讽刺了汉武帝佞仙惧死的荒谬举止,又抒发盛衰无常的历史沧桑感。其次,"仙人掌"又指西岳华山之上的"仙人掌"峰,唐人在描写华山时,往往提及"巨灵掌劈华山"的神话传说,该传说为"仙人掌峰"蒙上了一层神秘瑰奇的美丽面纱。再次,在唐人那里,"仙人掌"还意指荆州当阳县玉泉寺出产的"仙人掌"茶。

In the Tang Dynasty poetry, the poetry image of immortal palm had rich connotations and very unique style. First of all, to the view of Tang Dynasty poets, the poetry image of immortal palm was closely related with the immortal palm on the god platform created by emperor WU in the western Han Dynasty. By writing this kind of poetry, the Tang dynasty poets not only satirized the emperor WU all kinds of ridiculous behavior seeking for fairy but also expressed their intense sentimental mood about historical vicissitudes of life. Secondly, the poetry image of immortal palm alluding to palm peak of the mountain Hua. The Tang poets constantly described mountain Hua covered with a layer of mystery veil by using lots of myths and legends. Thirdly, In the Tang Dynasty society, the poetry image of immortal palm was also closely linked with a kind of tea named immortal palm which germinated at Yuquan temple of Dangyang county in Hubei Province.
