危机感让华为不得不“算计”云,但它真正需要“算计”的却是如伺对抗自己。
Ren Zhengfei, founder and President of the world famous telecom solution provider Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei), once said in 1996 that Huawei would never enter the information service sector. But after internal management consulting by IBM in 2003, it has reached fields including software, Internet service and enterprise network. And in recent two years, Ren broke his promise again. He saw a piece of new land, cloud computing. He even ordered the entire company to surpass Cisco in cloud platform as well as catching up with Google in could businesses. Not only the senior management are talking about cloud, a fierce 'cloud reengineering move' is taking place inside the company. Could computing means two things to Huawei:crisis and entrance. Though Huawei has achieved great success in consumer terminal and even beat Apple at the smart phone market, its growth slowed down according to its fiscal report in the first quarter this year. And the cloud computing is the key to enter the coming C-era (24 hour online and connected). But the market is completely different from the telecom operators Huawei faced before and it has its own market rules. It remains to be seen whether Huawei can copy its success in this sector.
