Research in English Learning Motivation and Teaching Strategies among Non-English Major Undergraduates

英语学习动机是制约学生英语学习成绩的主要变量之一,对语言习得具有举足轻重的作用。以河南大学一年级文科、理科共600名非英语专业本科生为调查对象,分析了非英语专业本科生英语学习动机类型以及动机类型和学习成绩之间的关系,并提出针对性的提升学习动机的教学策略。

English Learning Motivation is one of the key variables influencing English learning achievements and plays a important role on second language acquisition. The subjects for this study were selected from the freshmen of non-English major in Henan University, the total number was 600. This study analyzed the types of learning motivation, and its relationship with the learning achievements so as to provide some teaching Strategies for English teaching.
