Theme in Contemporary China and Mainstream Film

主流电影概念的提出是一个重要的现象,但其无论是从理论或实践,还是一个不够成熟的概念。主旋律艺术及其主旋律电影的拓展是驱动主流电影发展的主导性因素,艺术电影与商业电影也对主流电影的发展具有重要的影响和作用。在当下,既应提倡不同电影形态保持各自的优势和特色,同时又应倡导和推进不同形态的电影创作向着主流电影形态发展,以期在电影领域形成主导倾向突出、又具有多样性呈现的良好态势。

It is an important phenomenon to propose the conception of mainstream film. However, it remains immature neither in theory nor in practice. Theme art and its expansion of theme film is a dominant impetus of mainstream film development. Art film and commercial film also have exerted a significant influence upon the development of mainstream film. Currently, we advocate that diversified film forms maintain their own advantages and characteristics. Only in such way could film creation step forward unto the form of mainstream film.
