This essay discusses the presence of Christian mess- ages in ＂The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe＂.It demonstrates that although ＂The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe＂ carries with Christian messages and values,the messages have been succes- sfully conveyed by C.S.Lewis in a more palatable and accessible way to the child readers.Focusing on Asian,the lion as a Christ- like figure,Edmund,the Judas-like figure,the White Witch as a satanic character, and Mr.Tumnus,the Faun, a charming, talking animal with a strong personality, the essay explores the Christ- ian messages of self--sacrifice, resurrection and redemption in ＇The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe＂.
