Objective To analyze the effects of health education pathway on general self-efficacy and quality of life in adults with epilepsy. Methods Totals of 163 adult patients with epilepsy were selected, and they were investigated with Schwarzer general self-efficacy scale and the QOLIE-31 scale, before and after they received health education pathway. Then, different time score was compared and the relationship between score and education time were analysed. Results Before implemented health education pathway , the score of general self-efficacy scale and QOLIE-31 scale in adult patients with epilepsy was (24.6 ± 6.9 ) and (45.5± 11.2 ) , and after one week, the score was ( 25.6 ± 6.7 ) and ( 46.2 ± 10.2 ) respectively, there was no statistical significance (F = 4. 688,0. 684;P 〉 0. 05 ). After one month, the score of self-efficacy scale and QOLIE-31 scale was(27.3 ±6.3) and (49.1 ± 10.5) , and after three months, the score was (29.6 ±6.5) and (54.3 ± 10.8 ), which higher than before education and the difference was statistical significance ( F = 22. 845,18. 870, 63.797,92. 659;P 〈0. 01 ). General self-efficacy and quality of life were positively correlated with education time( r = 0. 279,0. 314 ;P 〈 0. 01 ). Conclusions The health education pathway implementation have a positive effect on self-efficacy and quality of life in adults with epilepsy and with the education time increaseing , the education effects better.
