美国大学学院联合会通识教育改革思想研究

On the Thoughts of General Education of the Association of American Colleges and Universities

近年来,美国大学学院联合会(简称AAC&U)先后启动了"更大期望"、"通识教育和美国的承诺"等通识教育改革项目,并在项目推进过程中形成了自身对通识教育的独特理解,认为通识教育应是一种宽深兼容的实用性教育模式,应统摄包括应用学科和通识学科在内的全部学科领域,应为"所有学生"提供这种通识教育。在这些思想的指导下,AAC&U呼吁大学应重塑本科教育目标,培养有目的的学习者,构建"以学习为中心"的大学,并确立了7条大学通向优秀的实践准则,以指导大学的通识教育改革实践。

In recent years,the Association of American Colleges and Universities（AACU） has launched some educational projects,including Greater Expectations,Liberal Education and America＇s Promise,to promote general education reform.A unique understanding of general education has formed that it should be a kind of practically oriented education offered to ＂all students＂ covering both applied and general disciplines.AACU sets seven basic maxims as the guiding principles in general education reform and appeals to the universities to reshape the undergraduate education goals,to develop the intentional learners,and to build ＂learning-centred＂ univerisities.
