Besides the institutions for old- age care at municipal, district/county and sub-district levels, 2,000 communities （villages） in Beijing will establish their own old-age care centres, each with an area of 300 square meters at leasL during the Twelfth Five-Year Plan period. Old people taken care of at home can also enjoy convenient professional services like day-care, housekeeping, cultural and sport entertainment, rehabilitation, health care, and so on.
