西方民主制度在中东欧的命运——析外部因素对“民主化”进程的影响

The destiny of the Western Democratic System in Central East Europe——an Analysis of External factors’ Influence upon the Process of Democratization

20世纪初期和末期,中东欧国家几乎全都选择了西方民主制度,但却遭遇了截然不同的命运。20世纪初期,西方民主制度立足未稳,便在除捷克斯洛伐克之外的所有国家被独裁制度取代;20世纪末期,西方民主制度在中东欧国家却顺利实施,已然确立并巩固下来。西方民主制度在中东欧的命运归根结底取决于内因,但这一制度在中东欧能够走到今天,外部因素也起到了非常关键的作用。

In the early and late 20th century, almost all of the countries of Central and East Europe chose the Western democratic system, but they met with quite different fate. In the early 20th century, the Western democratic system did not keep a stable foothold and was replaced by a dictatorship in all the countries of CEE except Czechoslovakia. In the late 20th century, the Western democratic system was smoothly practiced and consolidated in the countries of CEE. What the fate of the Western democratic system was depended on the internal factors in CEE, but the external factors also played a key role as this social system could keep running until today.
