It has been the tenth 'China Top CIO Award' this year.As the most authoritative CIO award in the industry in China,it has seen the outstanding achievements that generations of excellent CIOs have contributed to China's business progress.Thus,this annual ceremony is regarded as the Oscar of CIOs.The theme of this year's China Top CIO Award is 'New Decade,New Start'.In the past decade,China Top CIO Award has faithfully recorded the influences of IT on China's enterprises and social changes,as well as mission alternation and role changes of CIOs.From innovations on technologies to business models,information technology has become an important power in business and social changes.And CIO,as the founder and pioneer of the era,ascends to the center of the stage from margin.As the new information technology wave is changing the world,the borders between enterprise and person,work and life,online and offline are diminishing,and the connection and operation model between person and person,person and object,object and object are also changing.That's what CEOCIO China called 'the C-era'.The global resource distribution of the future will be realized via visible or invisible information links.The ubiquitous information stream has constituted the new order of the C-era,and thus bringing fatter career opportunities as well as more complex problems to CIOs.The event,launched on March,2011,lasts ten months and involves over 2,000 enterprises and organizations.With serious,practical attitude,senior editors of CEOCIO China and senior analysts of IDC have reviewed near 400 detailed questionnaires from the mainland,Hong Kong and Taiwan,and conducted face-toface interview with over 200 candidates.They concluded objective comments on the work of candidates in 2011 via rigorous case study and research.The results were then handed to the judging committee which is composed of more than 20 experts.They finalized fifty China Excellent CIOs,five China Top CIOs,three Best IT Projects,three Best IT Teams,and four IT Promoters of China's enterprises.
