From Formal Dialectical Self-generation to System,Factors and Functions——Study of the viewpoints of formalism in Russia on literary history

俄国形式主义的文学史观是建立在陌生化理论基础之上的自律论文学史观。早期的形式主义者将文学史演进的路径视为具有新鲜感的新形式自发地取代已陈旧的旧形式的过程,后期形式主义者则提出系统与功能的概念,来解决以形式的辩证自生模式解释文学的演变过于简单化与封闭化的问题,初显结构主义的端倪。

Viewpoints of formalism in Russia on literary history can be concluded as a theory of self-discipline based on the Alienation Theory.Early formalists argued that the evolution of literary history was a process in which old forms spontaneously gave way to the new ones.However,formalists in the later ages proposed the concepts of system and function and then they applied them to problems of the over-simple and closed interpretation of literary evolution by the dialectical self-generated mode of forms.The very beginning of structuralism was noted thereafter.
