While accepting the inevitable transition from polytheism to monotheism,William Blake advocated its subversive return,and found in this escape the clues to construct his poetic images.His poems built with poetic ambiguity a complex multiple-meanings system featuring the deconstruction of the traditional master-slave relationship between images to emphasize the variety of Devine characters.As a result,the animal and plant images in his poetry could be interpreted according to his unique pantheistic doctrine,suggesting a prophecy and foreseeing nature which has a profound impact for poetic modernism.
