The Pantheon : A Study on Its Form, Construction Technology and Spatial Image

古罗马万神庙是西方古代重要的代表建筑,但是长期以来,国内建筑界对这座建筑的了解始终不甚确切,对它不同组成部分的修建时序、对其大穹顶的结构和建造技术等方面的理解多有模糊甚至偏差之处。本文试图对该建筑进行深入解读,一方面纠正以往教学参考资料对其解说的偏差,另一方面分析该建筑独特的形式、建造技术和空间意象的背景和渊源,以深入理解它在古罗马建筑历史中的意义和地位,并从中理解古罗马建筑的共性特征以及建筑与相关推动者之间的关系,使其历史能够成为更加生动的、可与当代进行比较理解的文本。

The Roman Pantheon is one of the important relics of ancient architecture of the West. For a long time, there have been inaccuracies in terms of understanding of it among the Chinese architectural professionals. To many, the awareness of its construction including construction dates, the structure of the gigantic dome and its craftsmanship, was vague. The purpose of this article is an in depth study of the pantheon as well as clarifying the inaccuracies in the teaching materials of the past.Also included are analyses of its unique characteristics of form craftsmanship and space concept along with its historical background. We will examine the common ground of ancient Roman architectural pieces and therelationship between the works and their driving forces. We hope this article will serve as an accurate vivid historical narrative of the Pantheon. The readers can study it for comparisons with the contemporaries.
