Heaven and Redemption——Analysis of the Church of Gesu in Rome

本文以海因里希·沃尔夫林在《艺术史原理》中概括出的从古典主义(也即文艺复兴)向巴洛克的转变的五个特征为讨论基点和框架,以罗马耶稣会教堂这一由手法主义向巴洛克风格过渡的代表作为例,分析16世纪的现象化(phenomenization)和参与性(participation)背景下教会建筑的深刻转变及耶稣会堂为传统母题——天堂与救赎在空间概念和意义上所做的积极诠释。

Based on Heinrich Wolfflin＂ s five features of the turning from classical to baroque, the author takes the II Ges0 as an example to analysis the great changes taken place on church architectures of 16 century and shows some new spacial and meaning explanations to the traditional subjects of church from the view of phenomenization and participation.
