The Interrelationship of Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Fibrosis:A Review

心房颤动是临床上最常见的心律失常。其发病机制十分复杂,心房结构重构是心房颤动基质的一个重要特点,能够产生纤维化和改变心房的组织结构和功能。心房纤维化的准确机制还未阐明,但近年来实验研究和临床观察提供了有价值的资料。我们介绍了目前对心房纤维化作为心房颤动基质的认识和其内在的机制,揭示两者在发生、发展过程中的相互联系,从而为临床上进一步认识心房颤动和指导心房颤动的治疗提供新思路。

Atrial fibrillation （AF） is the most common arrhythmia in the clinical setting. Its precise mechanism is not understood. Structural remodeling is an important feature of the AF substrate, producing fibrosis that alters atrial tissue composition and function. The precise mechanisms underlying atrial fibrosis have not been fully elucidated, but recent experimental studies and clinical investigations have provided valuable insights. This paper reviews the current understanding of how atrial fibrosis creates a substrate for AF, summarizes what is known about the mechanisms underlying fibrosis and its progression, and addresses the interrelationship between the development of AF and the development of atrial fibrosis.
