Stuart Hall has made a great contribution to theoretical developments of the Birmingham School. ＂Theory of Articulation＂ is a most important representation of his thought. Focusing on Hall＇s theorization of articulation, this paper intends to examine the genealogy of the term, analyze the core and characteristics of his theory, and thus invite more critical attention to the School＇s cultural Marxism approach and its relation to postcolonial literature and cultural theory.
