PDA Practices in American Academic Libraries and Its Implication to China

摘要读者决策采购(PDA)是近年来在美国大学图书馆资源建设特别是电子图书建设中广泛应用的重要模式。该文介绍了读者决策采购的概念、产生背景、典型案例和特色,在此基础上,对其如何应用到我国大学图书馆资源建设进行了分析并提出了建议。 Patron-driven acquisition （PDA） has been widely applied in the collection development （especially of e-books） of academic libraries in the US, and has become an important model for collection development. This paper introduces its concept, background,typical cases and features. Based on that, it analyses and provides suggestions on how PDA can be applied to collection development among Chinese academic library.
