边防环境是边防活动所处的空间以及各种影响边防活动因素的综合，其在很大程度上影响着边防活动的正常进行。从历史发展的角度对建国以来中国边防环境的变化进行系统的梳理，以期对中国边防活动及边防环境有更为深刻的理解。

Border control environments, including not only the geographical factors, but also any factor influencing border control activities, plays important role on the normal border defense action. This paper tries to summarize the evolution of border defense environment from historical perspective, in order to better understand border - control activities and border control environment of New China.
