摘要
"中学为体,西学为用"虽然在文化革新路径的选择上有其历史的局限性,但其方法论意义却具有跨时代的价值。"中学为体,西学为用"毕竟为中国人打开了一扇通向未知文化领域的大门,促使中国人走出以往文化的固定圈子,真正"睁开了眼看世界",从此确定了"会同中西"、再造文化的思路和方向,这是一个巨大的历史转折。"中学为体,西学为用"的思路在近代知识分子文化人格的形成上所起的作用主要有三个方面:一是培养了近代知识分子的开放心态;二是确立了近代知识分子对民族文化的自信心;三是形成了近代知识分子多元化的价值认同意识。
The viewpoint of "the Chinese knowledge as the body, the western learning for uses" opened the door leading to un- known cultural field for Chinese people. It made us go out of the traditional culture and watch the world by own eyes and since then determine the way and the thinking of performing China a contract with the west and reconstructing Chinese culture. The viewpoint had three important effects to form the cultural personality of the intellectuals at modem times. The first was to cultivate their opening mentality. The second was to construct the self - confidence to our national culture. The third was to bring up their approving consciousness to the pluralism values.
