摘要
布鲁塞尔比利时国家图书馆藏写本号19606的一轴写卷虽然篇幅不长,却和14世纪早期音乐史的研究关系重大。基于写本学、音乐学、图像学及档案资料等方面的考察,本文对布鲁塞尔写卷的出处和年代进行了重新评估。此前的研究对该卷的起源既未明了,对其年代的认定也属推测。人们猜测该卷可能原本是献给新选修道院长温瑞库斯.德.波默里欧(任期1335—1342)的一份蕴含着劝诫意味的礼物,于1335年春抄成于斯塔维劳特和马尔梅迪这两座兄弟修道院(位于今比利时东部)。本文的见解有助于阐明目前被广为低估的14世纪早期默兹河地区文化的复杂性,同时深化了我们对布鲁塞尔写卷中那些源于另一写本巴黎《福维尔传奇》的曲目流布的了解。因为《福维尔传奇》独一无二地将文本、音乐和插图结合,在中世纪晚期的法国首都曾为显贵们的宫廷政治所用。布鲁塞尔写卷鉴证了当时欧洲西北部的次级地区中心对这一音乐象征话语形式的快速容受,以及当地编者(们)根据自身的政治和权力斗争对这一话语形式作出的巧妙改编。
Based on codicological, repertorial, iconographical and archival data, the provenance anddating of the ＇Brussels rotulus＇ （Brussels, Royal Library of Belgium, manuscript 19506）, a small but significant source of early fourteenth-century music, are reassessed. The origins of the manuscript were unknown up to now, its dating approximate and speculative. It is suggested that the source originated at the former double monastery of Stavelot- Malmedy （situated in the eastern part of modem-day Belgium） in spring 1335. It was presumably intended as an admonitory gift for the newly elected prince - abbot, Winricus de Pomerio （ruled 1335-1342）. The revised view illuminates the Cultural sophistication of the Meuse region in the early fourteenth century, which is widely underestimated today, as well as refining our knowledge of the circulation and reception of a group of pieces first transmitted in the （Parisian） -Ro- man de Fauvel- （Paris, National Library of France, manuscript fran？ ais 146）, a unique and spectacular source combining texts, music, and illustrations in the service of courtly politics and propaganda among the powerful in the capital of late medieval France. The mtulus attests to the rapid reception of this musi- co - symbolic discourse in a rather less visible and considerably smaller center of contemporaneous north- western Europe, as well as its skillful adaptation by the local compiler （s） to politics and power struggles of their own.
