In the eleven years since setting up Baidu in January 2000, Robin Li has turned Baidu into the largest Chinese search engine, with nearly80% market share, making it the world＇s second-largest independent search engine. In 2005, Baidu went public on the Nasdaq, and in 2007 it became the first Chinese company to be included in the Nasdaq-100 Index.
