摘要 Ovoos are made up of a cairn-like heaps of rock,which are found throughout Inner Mongolia. They are used mainly for religious ceremonies,serving as sacred sites for the Mongols.Bayan- ovoo,a pair of famous ovoos,"the Mother-ovoo"and"the Daughter-ovoo",is the largest and most influential of these sites where each year on the third day of the sixth lunar month an elaborate ovoo worship ceremony takes place.In accordance with tradition,the ceremony is organized Ovoos are made up of a cairn-like heaps of rock, which are found throughout Inner Mongolia.
