The new book ASEAN Diplomatic Community： Subjects and Performance written by Wang Zichang, professor of Institute of Southeast Asian Studies in Jinan University, summarizes a systematic clue with various topics on the diplomacy of Southeast Asian countries and ASEAN countries since their establishment, so as to do a research on how ASEAN forms diplomatic community by developing their own strength and ASEAN＇s diplomatic history on this basis. The book not only does well in macro narrative with a high academic value, but also demonstrates the book＇s application value by the study of specific cases. It is a ground-breaking research monograph in the area of ASEAN foreign affairs.
