Analysis and comparison of MAC protocols in vehicular Ad-hoc networks

摘要 智能交通领域各种应用的发展对车载自组网链路接入协议提出了新的挑战,对目前车载自组网中的链路接入协议进行了分类,分析比较了现有协议所采用的基本信息和链路接入技术,指出了这些协议的不足。最后指出充分挖掘利用链路状态信息和位置信息以及改进分布式时间协调算法是未来车载自组网MAC协议研究的关键。 Quality of service(QoS) demanded by various applications in Intelligent Transport System(ITS) strongly challenges the Medium Access Control(MAC) protocol in Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks(VANET).A classification of MAC protocols in VANET was proposed firstly.The comprehensive analysis and comparison were made to reveal the disadvantages of MAC protocols in the aspects of information used and combination utilization of elementary MAC methods. Finally the authors indicated making full use of availble infomation and improving the distribututed time-scheduling algorithm were the keys of future VANET MAC protocols design.
