在五四乡土叙事中,作家们所竭力描写的乡土并非一种"历史的经验性的东西",而是更近乎于"方法论上的概念"。乡土是在作家们"科学的观察方法"和"知识"的透镜下"被发现"的结果,它是作家们在现代"认识装置"下对乡土的一种想象和建构。这套认识装置的缘起基于一种现代时空观认知的改变,主要表现为时间的线性演进和空间的价值预设。

In the May Fourth local narrative,the country which writers have tried to describe is not a kind of ＂history of empirical thing,＂ but more equivalent to ＂the concepts of methodology＂.The country was found as a result by writers having the lenses of ＂scientific observation methods＂ and ＂knowledge＂,it is a kind of imagination and construction to the country by the writers＇ modern ＂knowledge device＂,which stems from the change in modern concept of cognition：the linear evolution of the time and the preset of spatial value.
