Emergency Treatment of Acute Respiratory Failure Complicaled by Severe Brain Injury

目的 报告22例重型颅脑损伤并发急性呼衰的救治分析,以利提高诊治水平。方法 在维持呼吸道通畅、充分氧疗的同时,针对引起急性呼衰的不同病因进行治疗。结果 治愈12例(54.5％),死亡10例(45.5％)。结论 在救治呼衰时,重视区别是中枢性还是外周性呼衰,并及早解除引起呼衰的原因,才能提高本病救治成功率。

Objective To summarize our experiences in management of acute respiratory failure complicated by serious brain injury. Methods Clinical data from 22 cases with acute respiratory failure complicated by serious brain injuries were retrospectively analyzed. While the respiratory tract was kept up unobstructed and oxygen therapy was given to the patient, attention was paid to detecting the exact causes of the acute respiratory failure following brain injury and proper therapeutic measures were conducted accordingly. Results Of the 22 cases, 12 (54.5% ) had been cured and 10 patients died(45 .5% ). Conclusions In the treatment of respiratory failure of patients with brain injury, clear disdnction should be made between the central and peripheral respiratory failure, and its cause must be actively eliminated.
