On the Marriage Restrictions Based on Traditional Customary Law of the Li

黎族传统习惯法对结婚范围有一定的限制。首先,同姓不婚。黎族地区同黎姓的人禁止通婚。其次,异族不婚。不同黎族支系之间以及黎族与其他民族之间禁止通婚。第三,禁母不娶。不与禁母家族通婚,尤其是不与禁母的女儿结婚。黎族对结婚范围的限制主要是为了防止氏族内乱、减轻氏族外部压力以及维护社会正义。

In traditional customary law of the Li,there are certain restrictions on marriage.Firstly,marriage cannot occur among people with the same family name.Secondly,marriage cannot occur among people from different branches of the Li or different ethnic groups.Thirdly,one cannot marry a person from the Jinmu clan,especially a daughter of the clan.These restrictions are made to prevent internal chaos,to reduce external pressure and to maintain social justice.
