This article analyses the technology characteristics and operating essentials of electrogas welding, and evaluates welding procedure. Thereby, the author formulated correct welding technology. The applications on the blast furnace shell shows that electrogas welding is advanced and welding quality is high. It can reduce labor intensity and lower comprehensive cost if using electrogas welding.
