In this article the development of the function of ghost billet is described. The method of testing software using offline ghost billet function, and that of verifying the whole mill system using online ghost billet function are introduced. Due to the application of this function, the progress of commissioning on side will be sped up, and the availability and yield ratio of the mill will be improved.
